6.2.E. - Page 6 <br /> RESOLUTION WAIVING NOTICE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO'S <br /> LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code §.25351, subd. (b), provides that <br /> whenever the board of supervisors of a county decides to enter into a lease of an existing <br /> building within the incorporated territory of a city, the board shall notify in writing, at <br /> least 60 days prior to going to bid or entering into a lease, the city clerk of the city where <br /> the building is to be constructed, expanded, or leased, and <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code § 25351, subd. (d), provides that the <br /> 60-day notification requirements imposed by subdivisions (b) and (c) may be waived if <br /> the city council consents, by resolution, thereto, and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of San Mateo has notified the city clerk that the County <br /> plans to enter into a lease for the premises located at Two Circle Star Plaza, which lease <br /> would provide that the premises are to be used as office space, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has requested that the City waive the 60- <br /> day notification requirement, and this City Council has considered said request and <br /> wishes to comply and to waive the 60-day notice. <br /> NOW THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED AND DETERMINED THAT <br /> pursuant to Government Code § 25351, subd. (d), Redwood City hereby waives the 60- <br /> day notice requirement for the County of San Mateo's proposed lease of the premises <br /> located at Two Circle Star Plaza, San Carlos, inclusive of the parking garage located in <br /> Redwood City. <br />
