8.A. - Page 22 <br /> EXHIBIT C <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> Unless the context otherwise requires, capitalized terms used in this Agreement <br /> will ha�e the meanings specified below in this Exhibit C. <br /> Act <br /> "Act" means the California Joint Exercise of Powers Act (California Government <br /> Code §6500 et. seq.). <br /> Agency/Agencies <br /> "Agency/Agencies" means the public entities which are or have been Members of <br /> the SBTSA and/or the SBWMA. <br /> Agreement <br /> "Agreement" means this joint exercise of powers agreement, as it may be <br /> amended from time to time. <br /> Board <br /> `Board" means the governing Board of Directors of the SBWMA, comprising one <br /> Director from each of the Members, as described in Article 8 of this Agreement. <br /> Chair <br /> "Chair" means the SBWMA Chair of the Board, as described in Section 8.5 of <br /> this Agreement. <br /> C1WMA <br /> "CIWMA" means the California lntegrated Waste Management Act of 1989 <br /> (California Public Resources Code, §40000 et seq.), and all regulations adopted <br /> under that legislation, as that legislation and those regulations may be amended <br /> from time to time. <br /> CIWMA Board <br /> "CIWMA" means the California lntegrated Waste Management Board, created <br /> under the provisions of the CIWMA, whose duties include implementing the <br /> C1WMA. <br /> Collect/Collection <br /> "Collect/Collection" means to take physical possession, transport and remove <br /> Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Plant Materials within and from the <br /> Service Area. <br /> Collector <br /> "Collector" means a private organization which holds a franchise from an Agency <br /> for Solid Waste Collection. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2013/AMENDMENTS/AMEND N0.2 SBWMA JPA AGREEMENT <br /> REV: 06-10-13 PT <br /> Page 17 of 24 <br />
