8.C. - Page 4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION PLAN <br /> TO ESTABLISH THE CLASSIFICATION OF EMERGENCY <br /> PREPAREDNESS AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Fire Chief has requested that the classification of <br /> Emergency Preparedness and Outreach Coordinator be established; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the classification should be created to better <br /> support emergency preparedness planning, training, and outreach to Redwood City <br /> residents and to better serve the needs of the Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the classification specifications of the Emergency Preparedness and <br /> Outreach Coordinator were prepared by the City's Human Resources Department and <br /> Fire Department to ensure the needs of the community and City were met; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the Emergency Preparedness and Outreach <br /> Coordinator classification should be included in the Redwood City Management <br /> Association (RCMEA) and established with a pay range of $6,553 - $7,862 per month; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br /> incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2. The City's Classification and Salary Plan is hereby amended to establish <br /> the classification of Emergency Preparedness and Outreach Coordinator, with the <br /> duties and required qualifications as set forth in the job description attached as Exhibit <br /> A, with a pay range of $6,553 - $7,862 per month, and inclusion in the Redwood City <br /> Management Association (RCMEA) bargaining unit. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> * * * <br /> ATTY/RE50.2866/EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR <br /> REV:OS-28-13 MLG <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
