No building permit shall be _issued for construction on any of the <br />newly created parcels prior to construction and final inspection <br />of a double carport: or garage for exi.stV7 house which conforms <br />with requirements of the Puildinq Code and the Zoning; Ordinance. <br />11. Councilmen 7eckl.ey and Petersen expressed <br />their concern on necessity of wantin7 variances on lots involv;in7 this small <br />amount of footage from standard. size. <br />Councilman Rosselli, asked if a. report could be made on number of substandard lots <br />and if possible to amend ordinance to include these in soiTie manner so that these <br />sliFht exceptions would not need to appear for Council action. Councilman Granger <br />asked that report also include same information for remaining 29' lots. (demo 6/7/66) <br />REPORT OF ETD OPTNTNG, Street Resurfacin7, 1966. The following bids were rete ved: <br />Braga to Paving Co. $54, 14A . y0 <br />K. C. Smith Co. Ft ?2! , 75 <br />Douglas A Woodhouse <br />KnFineer's Estimate <br />City Manager reported in accordance with City's practi_ve of resurfacing a portion of <br />City streets each construction year, funds were :included i.n the 1965-66 budget. He <br />further advised it was Staff's original. -intent that at bast one full year would <br />elapse after resurfacing before any trenching or street cuts would be made in con- <br />n.ection with bond issue improvements but, since these projects have been accelerated <br />this would not no- be possible. Ne further advised that if the streets on which <br />,00ry is to be done in connection with the bond issue were eliminated from the resur- <br />facing schedule, the rnmaintnq work would amount to some 015,000. He further <br />pni need out with this reduction from original engineer's estimate of $55,000 it, was <br />now Evident that City is not in a. position to negotiate fo.r a reduced contract on <br />the basis of prices bid. lie stated it was his recommendation that the bids be <br />rejected, with an appropriate letter to the bidders concerned, explaining; the reason <br />for rejection, recommending further that 05,000 of the $50,000 author. i_zed for <br />street resurfacing in 1965-66 bud7ot be carried forward to accomplish necessary <br />patching; on the streets which would have been resurfaced, and rema.i.ning 25,000 <br />revert; to the General Fund. <br />
