MSR:ef: 9/21/73 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> SEP 24 '73 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7003 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 115 BIRCH <br /> STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC <br /> NUISANCE, DIRECTING THE OWNERS TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, <br /> AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO BE MADE A <br /> LIEN UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT <br /> ABATED BY THE OWNERS <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City <br /> has initiated proceedings pursuant to Article II of Chapter 9 of <br /> the Code of the City of Redwood City with respect to the structures <br /> (consisting of an occupied dwelling building and detached garage <br /> building) at 115 Birch Street in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of a hearing has been given in accordance <br /> with Section 9.7 of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the <br /> City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has conducted a hearing and heard tes- <br /> timony concerning the condition of said structure and the estimated <br /> costs of abatement by repair, reconstruction or removal in accor- <br /> dance with the provisions of Section 9.8 of Article II of Chapter <br /> 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Council hereby finds that the occupied wood frame <br /> six-unit dwelling building and garage building located on that <br /> real property situate in the City of Redwood City, County of San <br /> Mateo, State of California, described as follows : <br /> Lot 6 in Block 6 as shown on that certain map entitled <br /> "Map of Resubdivision of Dingee Park", filed in the <br /> office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on <br /> July 8, 1908 in Book 6 of Maps at pages 25 and 26. <br /> are so dilapidated through neglect, misuse, deterioration and decay <br /> as to be dangerous to the public, unsafe, untenantable, a health <br /> hazard, a fire hazard, and to constitute a public nuisance. <br />
