MSR:ef: 9/21/73 ORIGINAL SEP 24 '73 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7003 RESOLUTION DECLARING STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 115 BIRCH STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, DIRECTING THE OWNERS TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO BE MADE A LIEN UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT ABATED BY THE OWNERS WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City has initiated proceedings pursuant to Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City with respect to the structures (consisting of an occupied dwelling building and detached garage building) at 115 Birch Street in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, notice of a hearing has been given in accordance with Section 9.7 of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, this Council has conducted a hearing and heard tes- timony concerning the condition of said structure and the estimated costs of abatement by repair, reconstruction or removal in accor- dance with the provisions of Section 9.8 of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. This Council hereby finds that the occupied wood frame six-unit dwelling building and garage building located on that real property situate in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows : Lot 6 in Block 6 as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of Resubdivision of Dingee Park", filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on July 8, 1908 in Book 6 of Maps at pages 25 and 26. are so dilapidated through neglect, misuse, deterioration and decay as to be dangerous to the public, unsafe, untenantable, a health hazard, a fire hazard, and to constitute a public nuisance.
