DES:yc:10/8/73 <br /> .. <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7013 OCT 8,73 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING <br /> MARIAN McCRINDLE <br /> ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AS <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> WHEREAS, Marian McCrindle has well and ably served the City of Redwood <br /> City as City Clerk since her appointment to that office by the Council of the <br /> City of Redwood City in 1969; and <br /> WHEREAS, Marian McCrindle first joined the City of Redwood City in 1951 <br /> as a member of the City's Library• System, and thereafter, in 1961, was appointed <br /> Deputy City Clerk; and <br /> WHEREAS, as City Clerk, Marian has maintained her high standing of <br /> professional expertise by being associated with the International Institute <br /> of Municipal Clerks, the Northern California City Clerks Association, and the <br /> City Clerks Association of California; and <br /> WHEREAS, Marian has announced her retirement as City Clerk effective <br /> December 31, 1973; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to recognize her many years of devoted and <br /> faithful service to the City of Redwood City and its citizens, and to commend <br /> and congratulate Marian upon the occasion of her retirement; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> This Council does hereby commend Marian McCrindle for her many years of <br /> devoted and faithful public service to the City of Redwood City and its citizens; <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> This Council does hereby congratulate Marian upon the occasion of her <br /> retirement and does hereby extend, for itself, and for all citizens of the <br /> City of Redwood City, its best wishes to Marian for a happy and rewarding <br /> retirement. . <br /> Passed and adopted by the Redwood City Council at its meeting of <br /> October 8, 1973. <br /> • <br /> Mayor <br /> Original to Marian McCrindle, <br /> signed and framed. <br /> • <br /> s. <br /> • <br />
