,.► MSR:ef:10/2/73 ORIGINAL OCT 2 '73 RESOLUTION NO. 7014 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG A PORTION OF THE WESTERLY SIDE OF WALNUT STREET AT A POINT DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE INTERSECTION OF WALNUT STREET WITH SPRING STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTEN- TION TO ACQUIRE SAID PROPERTY WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acqui- sition by the City of Redwood City of a fee simple interest in that certain improved real property hereinafter more particularly described, and located along the westerly side of Walnut Street at a point directly across from the intersection of Walnut Street with Spring Street for street extension and other municipal pur- poses; and WHEREAS, the purchase price of said real property and improve- ments exceed the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) ; and WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the acquisition of said real property at the total purchase price of Twenty-one Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-four and no/100 Dollars ($21,424 .00) ; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS : 1. This Council hereby finds and determines that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the acquisition of the hereinafter described real property for municipal purposes. 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all acts necessary to acquire the hereinafter described real property for a total purchase price of Twenty-one Thousand Four Hundred Twenty- four and no/100 Dollars ($21,424.00) on behalf of the City of Redwood City, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Redwood City.
