MSR:yc: 10/9/73 <br /> Oct 15, 73 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7016 ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ABANDONING PUBLIC WALKWAY IN THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9 , <br /> STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br /> at §8300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br /> State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by <br /> its Resolution No. 7004, adopted September 24 , 1973, declared its <br /> intention to vacate the hereinafter described walkway; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the <br /> walkway has been published and posted; and <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br /> hereinafter described walkway is unnecessary for present or <br /> prospective public purposes and hereby orders said walkway vacated. <br /> 2 . The walkway vacated is as indicated on the plat on file <br /> in the office of the City Clerk, entitled "Abandonment of 6. 00 <br /> Foot Walk Adjacent to Lots 1 and 18, Block 17, 'Woodside Terrace <br /> No. 4 , ' Vol. 32 , pgs. 35 & 36 , " dated 9/17/73, and is more <br /> particularly described as follows: <br /> Parcel 1 <br /> A 6. 00 foot wide strip of land lying adjacent to and <br /> contiguous with the southwesterly line of Lot 18, <br /> Block 17, as said lot and block are shown on that <br /> certain map entitled "Woodside Terrace No. 4, " filed in <br /> the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, State <br /> of California, on December 1, 1950, in Volume 32 of Maps <br /> at pages 35 and 36 , retaining as a public utilities ease- <br /> ment the northwesterly 5 . 00 feet of said 6. 00 foot wide <br /> strip. <br />
