DES:sg:11/5 /73 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7044 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR <br /> PURCHASE OF CERTAIN-ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT NOV 5 ?V <br /> WHEREAS, this City requires certain electronic communica- <br /> tions equipment for installation and use with presently existing <br /> equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 .76 of the <br /> Code of the City of Redwood City this Council has, by motion <br /> duly made and carried on the affirmative votes of at least <br /> five members of the Council, found that strict compliance <br /> with the provisions of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br /> of the City of Redwood City relating to the purchase of <br /> materials, equipment and supplies would not serve the public <br /> interest, and thereupon suspended said provisions with respect <br /> to the purchase of the aforesaid electronic communications <br /> equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an <br /> Agreement with Motorola Communications and Electronics Inc. <br /> for the purchase of said equipment, which Agreement this Council <br /> desires to approve; <br /> NOW THEREFORE <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain Agreement entitled "Agreement for Furnishing <br /> of Electronic Communication Equipment" (form dated November 5, <br /> 1973) by and between the City of Redwood City and Motorola <br /> Communications and Electronics Inc. for the purchase of certain <br /> electronic communications equipment therein specified, a copy <br /> of which Agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br /> thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> * * * <br />
