,r. a o .. , , � �� , � „ ra. �i ,��,,� .y D ,� �. i p ITEM 13-ARCHWAY PROjECT DONATION Commissioner Fischer said she received a letter from Ken Rolandelli of the Historic Resources Advisory Conunittee requesting donations to raise money for a plaque for the new archway and asked whether the Commission would consider making a donation. Chairperson Filippi said the dedication ceremony for the project is tentatively set for Friday, November 18 or December 2. Commissioner Piulle suggested a time capsule for the project and was advised to contact Charles Jany. M/S Fischer/Moran: To donate $25.00 for the Archway Project plaque from the john Raitt fund. Motion was amended to $50.00 by Commissioners Fischer and Moran. . Motion passed. ITEM 14-ARTWORK DONATION Supervisor Hannon said she was contacted by a woman who wished to donate a piece of artwork to the City. The art�work was on display in the meeting room and the Commissioners were able to look at it. The donor of the artwork was able to provide receipts verifying the amount she spent on the item and its framing. M/S Redington/Piulle: To accept the artwork as a donation to the City. Motion passed. Location of the artwork will be determined by staff. MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST Nothing to report. ANNOUNCEMENTS -Chairperson Filippi announced Sequoia High School's Centennial began in September and will run until September 1995. Various activities are planned over the coming year and a flyer will be sent to each of the Commissioners with the details. Commissioner Moran announced that an AFS student that stayed with her family in 1965 is coming back for the event. The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at 9:20pm to be reconvened for a Special Meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 1994 to be held at Canington Hall, Sequoia High School, Brewster and Broadway, Redwood City, California.
