The elimination of this building would
reduce the square footage of the shopping center by 21,000 square feet
and would render the project non-economic.
An important objective of the project is the removal of blight under
the Community Redevelopment law. Where the removal of blight is
concerned, the location of the project is determined, quite simply by
where the blight is found.
That...the offer required by Section 7267.2 of the Government Code has
been made..
The attached affidavit indicates that notice was given to each person
whose property is to be acquired by eminent domain and whose name and
address appears on the last equalized county assessment roll. This
notice was sent by first class and by certified mail on May 12, 1992.
Summary
In summary then, the project is in the public interest and necessity,
the project is planned and located to do the most public good and the
least private injury, the parcels are necessary for the completion of
the project, and notice has been provided to the owners.
Conclusion
Staff recommends that the Board approve the Resolutions of Necessity on
the subject parcels.
(End of report.)
Redevelopment Agency Minutes
June 8, 1992
Page 4
MINUTE BOOK NO.1
Page No, 64
