Civic Cu/tura/Commission page 2 <br /> Minutes of September 7, 20�0 <br /> City for purchase and profits from the postcards will go back into the fund to <br /> purchase more postcards. <br /> -Raiser Resources <br /> Erin Raiser of Raiser Resources spoke about the successfui �Jazz at the Plaza" <br /> concert series at the City Center Ptaza. Ms. Raiser stated that because of the <br /> success of the summer program, it was decided to extend the program into <br /> the fall. She presented a schedule of twetve weekly jazz concerts from <br /> Friday, August 18 to November 3 with the featured musicai groups. Ms. <br /> Raiser explained their grant request of$900.00 will help fund the cost of the <br /> performers. She stated that cost of the music groups is averaging $1,000 <br /> per week plus operating expenses. <br /> M/S Douglas/Ball: To grant $950.00 to the p�ride and Bea ' tion <br /> Committee. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> M/S Date/Kushin: To grant $900.00 to �aiser Resources for the jazz <br /> concert series. <br /> Mot'ron passed unanimously. <br /> ITE�' Z — DONATION TO +� RRINGTON HALL R�STORATION �UND <br /> The Commissioners discussed the °Imaginary Performance" fundraiser <br /> invitation received from the Carrington Hail Restoration Committee. <br /> M/5 Dale/Dougtas: To donate $100.00 to the Carrington Hall <br /> "Imaginary Performancen and fund it from the small grant category. <br /> �NCotion passed unanimousiy. <br /> The following item was taken out of order: <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> John Anagnostou spoke about the renovation of the Fox Theater, his <br /> continuing negotiations with Peninsula Center Stage, and the events he <br /> would like to see scheduled at the facility. <br /> ITEM 3 — SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Superintendent Centeno asked each chairperson to explain the duties of each <br /> sub-committee for the benefit of the new Commissioners. <br /> -Budget <br /> Commissioner Del Carlo spoke about the budget development process and <br /> allocation of fiscal year budget into different funding categories. <br />
