Fnai assignments wili be <br /> made at the October meeting. <br /> ITEM 5 —COMtNENTS ON CULTURAL EVENTS HELD QVER THE �"AST 30 <br /> DAYS <br /> No items to report. <br /> Items for October Agenda: <br /> -Small grant requests, Chairperson Britschgi out of town, summer concert <br /> survey resuits <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Superintendent Centeno announced the "Halioween Spooktakular"to be <br /> hetd on Saturday, October 28 at Red Morton Center from 11:00am-3:OOpm. <br /> -Commissioner Ball announced the Peninsula Sociai Ciub will be having a <br /> Columbus Day event on October 8 and the San Mateo Historicai Museum wiil <br /> be presenting "Goid Rush Days" event on October 2. <br /> -Former Commissioners Oliver Redington and Don Saye will be receiving their <br /> service plaques at tfie November Commission meeting. <br /> -A fundraising event for Carrington Hail wili be held October 20 and 21. <br /> -Commissioner Bali anrtounced the 'Tis the Season Chiidren's Parade wiii be <br /> held on Saturday, December 2. The event wili feature music by the Elks Ciub <br /> Band beginning at 3:15pm, foilowed by the parade, a sing-a-long at City Hall, <br /> lighting of the tree, and fireworks. <br /> -Commissioner Soultanian annaunced an art exhibit at the Main Gallery which <br /> is located next to the Redwood Spice Company. <br /> -Commissioner Baii mentioned that former local water colorist Sonja <br /> Hamilton will be having her 100�' galiery showing. She also noted that <br /> "Octoberfest" will be held on September 16 on Broadway between the <br /> railroad tracks and EI Camino Real. <br />
