� 7.A. - Page 20 <br /> Redwood <br /> Ci��Calitarnia <br /> n fumtictll8C7 <br /> � <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Redwood City, State of California,will hold a Public <br /> Hearing at the stated time and place to consider the following: <br /> Date: August 26, 2013 <br /> Time: 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as the normal course of business permits <br /> Place: City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Avenue, Redwood City <br /> Subject: Revision of Ordinance 2376 regarding the exclusion and addition of territory of the <br /> Middlefield Road Underground Utility District 2011-1 <br /> The adopted Ordinance and establishment of the Middlefield Road Underground Utility District 2011-1 <br /> (`District') deems it unlawful for any person, including utility companies, to erect, maintain or operate any pole, <br /> overhead wire or associated structure (with the exception of transformers and service pedestals normally <br /> installed above ground) in any portion of the street, road, alley or way within the District. The City qualifies for <br /> reimbursement under California Public Utilities Commission Rule 20A from private utility companies of a <br /> portion of the costs incurred by the City for undergrounding overhead utilities in the proposed District. <br /> The District encompasses Middlefield Road from Main Street to MacArthur Avenue and along certain <br /> side streets per the boundary map and legal description. Since the adoption of the district, the exclusion <br /> and addition of territory by modifying the boundaries of the Middlefield Road Underground Utility District No. <br /> 2011-1 has been identified. In addition, the removal date for all overhead facilities within the district has been <br /> extended one year to provide more construction time for the project. <br /> The revised boundary map and legal description for the District are available to be viewed at the City Clerk's <br /> Office located 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. <br /> Any objection must either be given in person at the time of the Public meeting or received in writing by the <br /> Engineering Division prior to the date of the Public Hearing. Testimony cannot be given over the telephone.
