Further,
consultant's initial assessment will recognize that the effectiveness of certain
possible adaptation strategies would require a comprehensive and coordinated
set of strategies far areas beyond the Study Area
ConsultanYs input will frame fhe discussion of which, if any, potential and
preferred adaptation strategies and constraints should be factored into the
Specific PJan (e.g., goals/objective statements, implementation actions, and/or an
infrastructure plan element to the Specific Plan) and therefore the EIR analysis.
Task 8: Aesthetics
Consultant will prepare a narrative of existing viewsheds that capture scenic views and
resources from on- and aff-site public viewpoints looking across and through the Study
Area. The scenic views and resources are assumed to include bodies of water and
notable hillside views. Consultant will review the City's General Plan and other adopted
dacuments to identify any other specific visual resources that may be within the
viewsheds of the Study Area. Potential public viewpoints could include U.S. 101; the
new pedestrian bridge across Redwood Creek, near U.S. 101; nearby open
spaces/parks; and areas along the Study Area shoreline, where the San Francisco Bay
Trail may be extend in the future. The focus of the narrative will be on existing
viewsheds that could, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) be
adversely affected by new development in the Study Area.
RE1l:08-13-13 VR
ATTY/AGR2013.Q119/ESAIQraft Baseline Study Reports
