6.1.D. - Page 1 <br /> RE PO RT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cit Mana er <br /> September 9, 2013 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amendment No. 6 to Agreement with MIG for the Stanford in Redwood City Project <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> By motion, approve, and authorize City Manager to execute, Amendment No. 6 with <br /> MIG in the amount of $4,889.37 to complete preparation of the Stanford in Redwood <br /> City Environmental Impact Report (EIR). <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On August 11, 2008, the City executed an agreement with Wagstaff and Associates to <br /> assist staff with the preparation of an EIR for the "Stanford in Redwood City" project. <br /> The original agreement, which included sub-consultant work, was in the amount of <br /> $354,250. Wagstaff and Associates has since merged with MIG and is now referred to <br /> as MIG. Subsequently, the Council has approved five amendments to the Agreement to <br /> address a multitude of unanticipated technical issues that have arisen over the past five <br /> years of study. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> A sixth amendment in the amount of $4,889.37 is now required to accommodate <br /> additional work performed by MIG in response to Stanford comments in preparation for <br /> the Planning Commission hearing on August 20, 2013. This amendment brings the <br /> total contract amount to $611,520.45. The amendment will cover costs for work <br /> performed beyond the scope of MIG's contracts, including Final EIR revisions and <br /> attendance at public hearings. This amount will be sufficient to complete all remaining <br /> environmental review associated with the Stanford in Redwood City EIR. Stanford is <br /> aware of the requested amendment to MIG's scope of work and the additional cost for <br /> which they are responsible. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Do not authorize execution of Amendment Number 6 to the MIG agreement. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> None. Stanford University will pay for all costs associated with the Amendment. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> An Environmental Impact Report has been prepared for the Stanford in Redwood City <br /> P roj ect. <br />
