aT�6.2.C. - Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF NOTICE OF INTENT TO VACATE A PORTION OF <br /> BRADFORD STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO <br /> PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS <br /> CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at Section 8300) of <br /> Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City ("City Council"), hereby declares its intention to vacate an excess portion <br /> of City right-of-way within Bradford Street as deeded to the City on that deed recorded on <br /> January 5, 1897, appearing in Deed Book 73, Page 518 of the Official Record of the <br /> County of San Mateo; of which the legal description is attached hereto as Exhibit A and <br /> Exhibit B; and <br /> WHEREAS, a condition of approval for the planned development proposed at 601 <br /> Main Street requires disposition of a portion of the Bradford Street right of way, identified <br /> as the highlighted trapezoidal area depicted and described on Exhibits A and Exhibit B, <br /> attached hereto ("Vacation Area") prior to City's consideration or approval of the Parcel <br /> Map; and <br /> WHEREAS, attached to Exhibit C (Public Hearing Notice.) is a map or plan and <br /> legal description that shows the area intended to be vacated; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the California Streets and Highways <br /> Code, notice of intention to vacate the herein described portion of the Walnut Street right <br /> of way shall be published and posted in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> C; and <br /> WHEREAS, a noticed public hearing on the question of vacating portions of <br /> Bradford Street, as described below, shall be held and evidence thereon received by the <br /> City Council on October 7, 2013; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br /> incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2.
