09/09/2013 <br /> mentioned essential seismic retrofit work with no on-going impacts on the City finance <br /> and administration; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 30, 2013, Staff received an Award Letter from FEMA and <br /> Cal OES approving a grant funding budget for the total requested project cost of <br /> $2,603,380. The Federal grant share is $1,952,760, and the City share is $650,920. <br /> The City will have three years to complete the projects of which Staff is confident that it <br /> can be achieved; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the grant, authorize the City <br /> Manager to execute the Grant Award Agreement, and amend the revenues and <br /> expenditures of the City Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Water Fund Capital Projects budget to <br /> accommodate the grant and project construction fund in order to facilitate the seismic <br /> improvement projects identified above. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> • The City Council hereby accepts the FY12 Pre-Disaster Mitigation Competitive <br /> Grant Award of $1,952,760 for a total project budget of $2,603,380 from the <br /> Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California Governor's <br /> Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES/EMA); and authorizes the City Manager <br /> to execute the Grant Award Agreement and related contract documents. <br /> • Water Fund Capita/ Projects revenue budget shall be increased by $1,952,76Q, <br /> and <br /> • Water Fund Capita/Projects expenditure budget shall be increased by $794,394. <br /> The remainder of the project budget is balanced by previous appropriations in the <br /> Water Fund Capital Projects — Water System Seismic Update and Carson Tank <br /> Rehabilitation.
