<br />George Sinclair, Sinclair Associates, Inc. architectural finn, presented slides of <br />conceptual drawings of the development. <br />In response to Agency Directors' questions, Mrs. Jones-Thomas described parking <br />requirements, soil remediation, proposed uses of the commercial component, and the <br />Redwood City Art Board's interest in the development. <br />Chairwoman Buchan invited anyone who wished to speak to this issue to please come <br />forward: <br />Don Saye, 2021 Broadway, Redwood City, advised the Agency Directors that as a <br />Broadway business owner he had concerns regarding parking, but they were somewhat <br />alleviated by this presentation. <br />Agency Directors discussed parking alternatives and the need to coordinate the <br />developments that are ongoing in the downtown area.: City Hall, Franklin Street <br />renovations, and this residential/commercial development at Main and Middlefield. <br />Discussion of fonner civic center plans and realignment of Middlefield Road were also <br />discussed. Mrs. Jones-Thomas advised that this is just the first step in a long process, and <br />the Agency Board Directors will review and make decisions each step of the way. <br />MIS: STEINFELD/GREENALCH TO ACCEPT STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />AND DIRECT STAFF TO PROCEED WITH ISSUING A REQUEST FOR <br />QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) TO POTENTIAL DEVELOPER INTERESTED IN THIS <br />SITE. <br />CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE MINUTE ORDER NO. 94-011 <br />Extension of ERN with Trestine for the Commercial Project at Main and Broadway <br />(1402-04) <br />REPORT: Redevelopment Agency Executive Director, March 14, 1994 <br />Agency Executive Director Church advised that refonnatting of the agreement was <br />required due to the removal of the residential component of the development. A new <br />DDA will be brought back for Agency Board Directors review and approval. The <br />amendment extends the ERN to September 23, 1994. <br />Chairwoman Buchan asked if anyone wished to speak to this issue. <br />Don Saye, 2021 Broadway, Redwood City, stated that new development at the Main and <br />Broadway site would be helpful to that area of Broadway. <br />MINUTE BOOK NO.
