. � , � �'/,1/�:� <br /> . �.., ,�, <br /> , y <br /> . . < <br /> . � ORIGINAL <br /> 2AGMNT3 <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SEWAGE TRANSMISSION, TREATMENT AND <br /> DISPOSAL OF SANITARY SEWERAGE BY AND BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND <br /> THE EMERALD LAKE HEIGHTS SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br /> EMERALD LAKE HILLS WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br /> , 1983, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> municipal corporation, hereinafter called "City" , the COUNTY OF SAN <br /> MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of Calif�rnia, hereinafter <br /> called "County"�, and the EMERALD LAKE HEIGHTS SEWER MAINTENANCE <br /> DISTRICT, a public corporation, hereinafter called "District" ; <br /> W I T N E 5 S E T H: <br /> WHEREA5, the Emerald Lake Hills Area (hereinafter called <br /> "Area" ) comprises a portion o€ the unincorporated territory of County <br /> ._ an3 is more particularly delineated on in Exhibit "A" hereto attached <br /> and by refer�nce incorporated herein; <br /> WHEREAS, Area is within the sanitary sewage service area of the <br /> South Bayside System Authority (hereinafter called ".Authority" ) =or <br /> which collection and transportation of sewage is provided by City; <br /> WFiEREAS, City is a party to that certain joint exercise of <br /> powers agreement by and between the Cities of Belmont, Redwood City <br /> and San Carlos and the West Bay Sanitary District (formerly the Menlo <br /> Park Sanitary District) establishing the South Bayside System <br /> � <br /> Authority, which currently provides sanitary sewerage transmission and <br /> disposal services to t'ne members thereof and to Emerald Lake Heights, <br /> among others; <br /> WHEREAS, Authority has constructed and will operate and <br /> naintain new sewage treatmer�t plant __facilities to serve the <br /> Authority's service area; <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to that certain agreement dated August 19, <br /> 1980, by and between City and County, 0. 50 MGD, 834 lbs/day BOD and <br /> Page 1 of 9 pages <br /> ,.. , .., , �,_ , _._ , <br />
