CalTrain Station Improvements - Construction of a Clock Tower <br /> REPORT: Redevelopment Agency Director, August 15, 1994 <br /> Redevelopment Agency Director Church presented the staff report and showed an overhead <br /> of the clock tower plans. Director Church explained that the clock tower is on CalTrain <br /> property, and if the Agency Directors decided not to approve the project CalTrain would <br /> complete the train station without it. <br /> Director Steinfeld advised that this was not the time to spend $50,000 on monuments when <br /> Carrington Hall and Sequoia High School needed improvements, and this expenditure was not <br /> in the best public interest. <br /> City Manager Everett reviewed the clock tower approval process and described the public <br /> desire for a quality train station. <br /> (Director Greenalch left the meeting at this time, 9:20 P.M.) <br /> TITLE READ.
