_
.
,
Schedule
Consultant understands the City intends to complete the review and approvai processes for the
Housing Element update by the State-mandated deadline (within 120 days of January 31, 2015).
Importantly, by adopting this Housing Element on time for this cycle means that for the
subsequent cycle, Redwood City has eight years until the next update, rather than four years.
Consultant shall adhere to the following milestones to compiete the Housing Element Update, with
sufficient time for Planning Commission and City Council adoption and HCD certification prior to
the deadline. This schedule is primarily based on existing scheduled outreach meetings planned and
prepared by the 21 Elements team, which wili take place through March 2014. As such, a draft
Housing Element would not be completed until then in order to consider all available outreach
input.
This scope and schedule is also contingent upon receiving necessary sections of the Housing Element
that will be crafted by the 21 Elements team. From our discussions with 21 Elements staff,
consultant's understanding is that they will work to be flexible to work within the City's desired
schedule.
Milestone Target Completion
Date
1S`Outreach Meetin MIG task-See Quickstart Sco eJ December 3, 2013
Housing Developers countywide meeting(21 Elements taskJ December5,2013
Housing Advocates countywide meeting(21 Elements taskJ February 6,2014
Special Housing Needs Advocates counrywide meeting(21 Elements taskJ Apri110, 2014
Administrative Draft Housing Element March 2014
City Review of Admin. If a second round of review is not necessary, public hearings
could be scheduled for July 2014.
