CONSULTANT will work with the PDT to
define the level of analysis desired for the study area for the arterials and freeways (ramps and
mainline). CONSULTANT will document the available data and methodology for conducting
the traffic operations report including the software to perform the analyses.
Subtask 3.1.1 -Define Traffic Analysis Study Area and Horizon Years
CONSULTANT will confirm with the PDT the extent of the study area and the horizon years to
be analyzed. The Request for Proposal defined the study area to include the area bounded by
Maple Street, Blomquist Street, Broadway, Chestnut Street and Veterans Avenue.
CONSULTANT recommends that the PDT extend the study area along Woodside Road to
Middlefield Avenue to capture any metering of the traffic by these intersections in terms of flow
toward or away from the interchange.
