The <br /> approxiz�ate center of�he subject site is located at 37.4651°N latitude and 122.2345°E longitude <br /> o� the United States Geolagical Survey's Pala Alto 7.5-Minute Quadrangle. The site is �ocat�d <br /> on relatively lEV�I terrain and is bounded to the northeast by Valota Road, to the west and <br /> southwest by a channefizea creek, and to the east and northwest by reszdential developznent. The <br /> site is accessed via Valota Road from Route 84 off of U.S. Highway 101. <br /> Planned De�eIapment <br /> ESP understands that you �ropose to c�emolish tne existing residence and irriprovemerzts and <br /> consiruct a new five-lat residential deve�apment at the site. No detailecrt. plans were available for <br /> our use at the tizne of preparatiorn of this report. <br /> Scope o�Services <br /> The scope of work for th.e soil engineering study included a general site reconnaissance, <br /> subsurface exploration, laboratory testing of selected sarnples, engineering evaIuation of#he data <br /> collected axzd prepara�zon of this xeport. The analysis and subsequent recoFntnendations rn��re <br /> based on our understaz�ding af the proposed development at the subject site. <br /> The report and recommendations are intended to comply with the considerations of Section 1802 <br /> of the California Building Code (CBC), 2007 Edition, and common geotechr�ica.� engineexing <br /> practice in this area at this tin:ie under similar conditions. The tests were pErformed in general <br /> conforznar�ce with t�e staz�.da�rds noted, as modified by common geotechnical practice in this area <br /> at this ti�ae under similar cond'ations. <br /> Preliminaiy geotechnical recomrnendations for site preparation and grading, foundatians, slabs- <br /> on-grade and extearior flatwork, �tility trenches, pavement sections, site drainage and finish <br /> improveznents, and geatechnical observation and testing a�re presented to guide the development <br /> of pro}ect plans and specifications. It is our intent that this repp�t be used by the client to form <br /> the geotechnical basis of the design of the project as described her�in, and in tl�e prepara�taon of <br /> plans and specifications. <br /> 1 <br />
