Aguirre, Mayor Vendor No.: N/A <br /> Department: City Council Voucher No.: <br /> I represented Redwood City at the League of California Cities' 115th Annual <br /> Conference in Sacramento between Sept. 18-20, 2013. I am also the Vice President of <br /> the Latino Caucus of the League and hosted various workshops, business meetings, <br /> and events. <br /> Approximately 1,800 city officials attended the three-day conference, where they <br /> learned from experts and found resources to help them solve the critical issues faced by <br /> California cities. <br /> Part of the conference included being briefed on the recent conclusion of the 2013 <br /> Legislative session and bills affecting cities as well as a wide range of issues including <br /> economic development, infrastructure, municipal finance, land use, ethics, sustainability <br /> and more. This conference brought together leading experts that covered issues which <br /> were pertinent to California cities and solutions and approaches to resolve these issues. <br /> � � <br /> � ctober 1 2013 <br /> O <br /> Alicia C. Aguirre <br /> Mayor <br /> The Administrative Code requires reports of conferences or meetings for which a council member requests per diem or expense reimbursement. <br /> Reports must be submitted to the City Clerk of no later than the Wednesday of the week before the next City Council meeting. Reports must be <br /> submitted before the City of Redwood City will pay per diem or reimbursement for the conference or the meeting.
