Lawsuit against Department of Finance Update—Oral Report <br /> Staff provided various updates including details regarding a staff reclassification of a Brian Ponty <br /> Finance Department employee to a management analyst position which triggered the need Brian Ponty <br /> to update the LAIF authorization (item 7.A). On item 7.B Mr. Ponty provided an update and Pamela Thompson <br /> said the matter is complete. Pamela Thompson <br /> Regarding item 7.0 City Attorney Thompson said that on a Closed Session the Redwood <br /> City Council provided direction to the City Manager to begin discussions with the other three <br /> entities impacted. On item 7.D. Ms.Thompson said the City has filed a petition with the <br /> courts, and the Legal Aid Society joined the City in one issue.The hearing is scheduled for <br /> November 1, 2013 in Sacramento. <br /> 8. Oral Communications from the Successor Agency Contact <br /> Board Member Christensen announced the State Controller's Office will be auditing the Brian Ponty <br /> Successor Agency. Staff member Freeman said she had received the list of items the <br /> auditors want to see and they will be here in October. <br /> 9. Set Date and Agenda for Next Board Meetings <br /> • ROPS 14-15A due to the DOF by March 1, 2014 Brian Ponty <br /> There was agreement that the next Oversight Board meeting will take place on <br /> February 20, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 10.
