10/21/2013 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15301 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $84,070 WITHIN THE GENERAL AND WORKERS' <br /> COMPENSATION FUNDS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND <br /> FUNDING OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER POSITION <br /> FOR A PORTION OF 2013-14 <br /> WHEREAS, a fund known as the General Fund has been established; and <br /> WHEREAS, a fund known as the Workers' Compensation Fund has been <br /> established; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's current Human Resources Department requires a <br /> Human Resources Manager to oversee the five-person team; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager's Office desires to immediately establish, <br /> recruit and fill a Human Resources Manager position and fund the position for the <br /> remainder (five months) of fiscal year 2013-2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget has already been adopted, <br /> thus an appropriation is necessary to fund the proposed position for the <br /> remainder of fiscal year 2013-2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, on or about October 21, 2013, City staff will proceed to <br /> request the City Council to approve a portion of the appropriation from the <br /> General Fund and the remaining portion from the Workers' Compensation Fund <br /> for the establishment and funding of a Human Resources Manager position; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> u:\resolutions\2013\city council resolutions\2013 resolutions and exhibits or attachments\reso 15301-reso 2921 hr <br /> manager appropriation.docATTY/RES0.2921/HR MANAGER APPROPRIATION <br /> RESO.#15301 <br /> REV:10-16-13 PT MUFF#905 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
