�d Y'i��1�1�� <br /> MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN KAISER PERMANENTE <br /> and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SERVING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR <br /> REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br /> FY 2013-2014 <br /> This is a MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT, made and entered in this � day of <br /> r ./, 2013, by and between the KAISER PERMANENTE ("Kaiser") and <br /> TH I Y OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of <br /> California ("City") serving as fiscal agent for REDWOOD CITY 2020 (RC 2020), a <br /> COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE that coordinates the delivery of services to children, <br /> youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an <br /> unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, in 1995 the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City Elementary <br /> School District, the Sequoia High School District and the County vf San Mateo formed <br /> Redwood City 2020 (then known as Redwood City 2p00) to provide leadership and <br /> oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and <br /> social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood <br /> City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be <br /> successful primary caregivers to their children, and; <br /> WHEREAS, each year, since the formation of Redwood City 2020, these original <br /> partners (the City, Redwood City School District, Sequoia High School District and San <br /> Mateo County) have renewed the Redwood City 2020 partnership by formal agreement, <br /> and; <br /> WHEREAS, the public partners who formed Redwood City 2020 have now been <br /> joined by additional partners (John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities <br /> — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Sequoia Healthcare District and First 5 San <br /> Mateo County) and; <br /> WHEREAS, all of these Parties desire to renew their Redwood City 2020 <br /> membership agreement for Fiscal Year 2013-2014. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS <br /> AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Purpose. The Parties are entering into this formal partnership for the sole <br /> purpose of providing assistance to, and sustaining the work of Redwood City 2020. <br /> Redwood City 2020 exists for two major purposes: <br /> a.
