8.A. - Page 121 <br /> Summary <br /> A review was conducted of the proposed The Pauls Corporation Downtown Redwood City <br /> ProjecYs impact, if any, on a potential historic building located in the viciniry of theproject at <br /> 605 Middlefield Road. This report concludes that the project will not have an adverse effect on <br /> the building and that the Project is consistent with the standards and guidelines for historic <br /> resources set farth in the Downtown Precise Plan for 605 Middlefield Road. <br /> Methods <br /> This review was conducted by Richard Brandi who holds an M.A. in Historic Preservation from <br /> Goucher College, Maryland and a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley. He is listed as a qualified historian <br /> with the California Historical Resources Informarion System. With more than 10 years of <br /> professional experience in architectural history and historic preservation, Mr. Brandi meets the <br /> requirements of a Qualified Professional as set forth by the Secretary of the Interior. He reviewed <br /> the plans for the Project, consulted the Downtown Precise Plan, and performed a site visit. <br /> Project Site <br /> The proposed project is a multiple-story complex that will occupy nearly all of the block <br /> bounded by Veterans Boulevard, Middlefield Road, Bradford Street, and Jefferson Avenue. This <br /> area is located in the Downtown Precise Plan area. The project will be directly across the street <br /> from the property at 605 Middlefield Road, located on the southeast comer of Bradford and <br /> Middlefield Road. <br /> 1 <br />
