Exploratory excavations performed under the direction of a registered design <br /> professional. <br /> Exemption from the permit requirements of this appendix shall not be deemed to <br /> grant authorization for any work to be done in any manner in violation of the <br /> provisions of this code or any other laws or ordinances of this jurisdiction. <br /> J103.3. Grading Fees. At the time of filing for a grading permit, the applicant shall <br /> deposit funds to cover the costs of plan checking. Prior to plan approval, <br /> additional fees shall be deposited to cover the costs of inspection. The plan <br /> checking and inspection deposit amounts and City costs shall be established by <br /> resolution of the City Council. Separate plan review and permit fees shall apply to <br /> retaining walls or major drainage structures as required elsewhere in this code. <br /> Sec. 9.61. APPENDIX J OF THE BUILDING CODE AMENDED: Appendix J of the <br /> Building Code is hereby amended to replace the words `Building Official' with the words <br /> `City Engineer' at all locations in this appendix chapter where the words `Building <br /> Official' are found. <br /> Secs. 9.62 - 9.65 RESERVED. <br /> SECTION 4. Article VI of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code is hereby added <br /> to read as follows: <br /> CHAPTER 9 ARTICLE VI REDWOOD CITY AMENDMENTS TO 2013 CALIFORNIA <br /> PLUMBING CODE <br /> Sec 9.66. SECTION 604.14 OF THE PLUMBING CODE ADDED: Section 604.14 of <br /> the Plumbing Code is hereby added as follows: <br /> Section 604.14. Metallic water piping shall not be used underground in those <br /> areas underlain by Younger Bay Mud (see map published by Redwood City <br /> Building Division for approximate locations). <br /> Sec. 9.67. SECTION 701.1.7 OF THE PLUMBING CODE ADDED: Section 701.1(7) <br /> of the Plumbing Code is hereby added as follows: <br /> Section 701.1(7). Metallic drainage piping shall not be used underground in <br /> those areas underlain by Younger Bay Mud (see map published by Redwood <br /> City Building Division for approximate locations). <br /> Sec. 9.68. SECTION 715.1 OF THE PLUMBING CODE AMENDED: Section 715.1 of <br /> the Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 715.1.
