6.B. - Page 20 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13-27 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL DESIGNATE 842 EDGEWOOD ROAD A H15TORIC <br /> LANDMARK AND APPROVE A HISTQRIC PRESERVATION <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, on October 10, 2013 the Historic Resources Advisory <br /> Cammittee considefed and recommended that the residence and property <br /> located at 842 Edgewoad Road, Redwood City, California be designatec! a <br /> Histaric Landmark and that a Historic Property Preservation Agreement (also <br /> knowr� as a Mills Act Contract) be approved with Afyn Beals and Daniela <br /> Gas�arini (collectively, Applicant}; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has determined <br /> that said property meets the criteria for designation as an histaric landmark <br /> according to the historic designation criteria established by tF�e Redwood City <br /> Historic Preservafion Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code); and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 3, 2013 the Planning Commission held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing and considered p�blic comm�r►ts, the application and <br /> report from the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recomrr�endation <br /> of the Historic Resvurces Ad�isory Committee, ar�d staff reports; and <br /> WHEREAS, th� residence and property foca#ed at 842 Edgewaod Road, <br /> Redwood City, Califomia cfoes meet the historic designatian criteria established <br /> by the RecEwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance as fallows: <br /> A. !t exemplifies and reflects special elements of the City's cuitural, <br /> aesthetic and architectural history; and <br /> B. The property is identifiied with persons and events significant in local, <br /> State and national history. <br /> WHEREAS, saEd property and applicant da qualify for a Historic <br /> Preservation Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br /> residents therein, that said property be designated a Historic Landmark and that <br /> a preservation agreement be approved �o assist in the restara�ion and <br /> preservation af such property. <br /> NOW THEREFQRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> ATTY/RE50.2927/PC 842 Edgewood Eandmark Designation&Mills Act Contract <br /> ftEV:11-25-13 VR <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
