1. Scope of Services ("Services"). <br /> Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center (PCRC) will provide a half-time consultant in the <br /> role of Community Engagement Specialist (CES) to lead Redwood City 2020's <br /> Redwood City Together initiative. The overall goal of Redwood City Together is to <br /> promote mutual benefits for immigrants and their receiving communities that encourage <br /> enhanced civic participation for newcomers and improved economic mobility. During <br /> the Term of this Agreement, PCRC and CES shall complete the following tasks: <br /> PCRC management will: <br /> • Provide primary administrative supervision of the CES; <br /> • Provide content specific training and overall professional development <br /> opportunities for the CES; <br /> • Provide leadership for the development of progress reports, end-of-cycle <br /> reports, and grant proposals to funders; <br /> • Connect Redwood City Together activities with other relevant PCRC <br /> programming and other county and state initiatives; <br /> • Help the CES to develop knowledge of and compliance with agency policies, <br /> procedures and protocols and ensure the CES receives and understands <br /> appropriate benefits and salaries <br /> • Co-develop a work plan for the CES with Executive Director of Redwood City <br /> 2020 <br /> • Lead professional evaluation of CES, with input from Redwood City 2020 <br /> Executive Director <br /> PCRC Community Engagement Specialist will: <br /> • Provide facilitation, coordination, training, and project management for objectives <br /> outlined in the scope of work/work-plan for the CES; <br /> • Coordinate and facilitate eleven (11) monthly Redwood City Together Steering <br /> Committee Meetings, and additional meetings as necessary; <br /> • Organize, promote, and facilitate ten (10) welcoming dialogues — average of one <br /> per month — in the Redwood City community (i.e. at schools, public library, city <br /> hall and civic organizations' meeting places); <br /> • Plan, organize, promote, and execute the annual "One Community, Many <br /> Cultures" event in the spring of 2014; <br /> • Attend nine to eleven (9-11) Immigrant Youth Action Team Meetings (IYAT) at <br /> Sequoia High School and integrate IYAT into Redwood City Together's <br /> welcoming work; <br /> � Recruit, support, and bring in between ten to fifteen (10-15) businesses, <br /> community groups, schools, and other organizations in Redwood City into the <br /> "Redwood City Welcoming Network"; <br /> • Contribute to Redwood City Together's visibility campaign: <br /> o Write two (2) articles for the Bridging the Cultural Gap media network; <br /> o Create five to ten (5-10) video clips highlighting RWC Together' s work for <br /> the RWC 2020 website and to distribute to RWC 2020's partner network; <br /> o Write Facebook and Twitter updates (4 per month minimum); <br /> ATTY/AGR/2013.223/PCRC WITH RC2020 RWC TOGETHER <br /> REV:11-12-13 MLG <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br />
