Article XI entitled <br /> "Recycling and Salvaging of Construction and Demolition Debris" is hereby <br /> added to Chapter 9 (Buildings) of the City Code of the City of Redwood City as <br /> follows: <br /> ARTICLE XI. - RECYCLING AND SALVAGING OF <br /> CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION DEBRIS <br /> Sec. 9.190. - Purpose <br /> Sec. 9.191. - Definitions <br /> Sec. 9.192. - Deconstruction, Salvage, and Recovery <br /> Sec. 9.193. - Landfill Diversion Requirements <br /> Sec. 9.194. — Certified Recycling Facility <br /> Sec. 9.195. - Information Required Before Issuance of Permit <br /> Sec. 9.196. - Deposit Required <br /> Sec. 9.197. — Administrative Fee <br /> Sec. 9.198. - On -Site Practices <br /> Sec. 9.199. - Reporting <br /> Sec. 9.200. - Enforcement / Violations <br /> Sec. 9.210. - Responsible Party <br /> Sec. 9.190. — Purpose: <br /> The purpose of the City of Redwood City Recycling and Salvaging of <br /> Construction and Demolition Debris Code is to protect the public health, safety, <br /> welfare, and environment by promoting the reduction of solid waste and reducing <br /> the stream of solid waste going to landfills. The recycling and waste reduction <br /> practices referenced in this Article are intended to achieve the following goals: <br /> A. To encourage the conservation of natural resources; <br /> B. To reduce waste in landfills generated by construction projects; <br /> C. To comply with environmental goals set forth in City (Chapter 9, Article X) <br /> and State Green Building Codes (CALGreen Sections 4.408 and 5.408); <br /> D.
