01/13/2014 <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks Needs Assessment was subsequently finalized and <br /> approved by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission in October <br /> 2008 and findings were incorporated into the City's new General Plan that was adopted <br /> by the City Council on October 11, 2010; and <br /> WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 2162, the City Council revised and updated <br /> the Parks Impact Fee Project List on November 14, 2011; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br /> Commission recently updated the Parks Impact Fee Project List to revise and include <br /> additional projects that meet the criteria set forth in state law and the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, Parks Impact Fees imposed upon development projects by the City <br /> and deposited in the Parks Impact Fund are intended to be utilized for the installation, <br /> acquisition, construction and improvement of park improvements and shall not be used <br /> for routine maintenance of facilities. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby incorporated by <br /> this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2. The City Council approves the updated list of park improvements, attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein, which shall serve as the City's <br /> Parks Impact Fee Project List. <br /> 3. The Parks Impact Fee Project List will remain on file with the Director of Parks, <br /> Recreation, and Community Services or designee. <br /> 4.
