<br /> Robert Lico, 3060 Sterling Way, representing El Camino Developers, Redwood Trading Post <br /> and Econo Lube, complained as this project's timeline keeps extending there could be <br /> economic impact due to loss of tenants. He expressed concern they are not being kept informed <br /> by the developers and contractors and opposes any extention of the ERN. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding private sector development not involving the agency, planned <br /> development, master plan, agency negotiations are confidential, property owners are free to <br /> develop property as they desire with property evaluation done at time of agreement. <br /> Council MemberIDirector Hartnett joined the meeting at this time - 8:55 p.m. <br /> Community Development Services Manager Church stated for the record that he received a <br /> letter from George Cook which opposes the project and entered it for the record. <br /> Ted Hannig, 1991 EI Camino Road, representing property owners, noted the owners of <br /> Redwood Trading post, are concerned if this delay occurs, then blight will be created and <br /> requested assurance that no imminant domain will occur and they feel that only nine months <br /> are needed and do not want further delay. <br /> Seraphim Leemon, 451 Seaport Blvd, commented the business owners feel they are not being <br /> heard and suggested the Agency only offer the developers a one month extention and <br /> encourage better communication to potential business owners, who mayor may not be affected. <br /> Richard Haars, 1409 El Camino, stated he feels he has been left out of any communication and <br /> does not understand what is occuring and is unsure of the status as the developers have not <br /> called him. <br /> Jeff Hansen, Shea Homes, explained they are asking for extentions because they want to <br /> complete proper planning for this site as it is a complicated 500 unit plan involving downtown <br /> planning, many committees and need adequate time to complete in a thoughtful process. He <br /> commented they have had different levels of interaction with owners but may not have been as <br /> sensitive to some owners who may need for more communciation.
