7.4.A. - Page 6 ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Article 2 <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> Dwelling. A building or portion thereof designed or used exclusively for <br /> residential occupancy, including one (1)-family, two (2)-family, and multi-family <br /> dwellings, but not including hotels, motels, boarding houses, tents or trailers. <br /> Transitional housing, supportive housing, and small residential care facilities are <br /> considered a residential use of property in any dwelling type. <br /> Dwelling, Multiple. A building or portion thereof, used and designed as a <br /> residence for three (3) or more families living independently of each other and <br /> doing their own cooking in said building, including apartment houses, apartment <br /> hotels, and flats, but not including motels, boarding houses, and hotels. <br /> Dwelling, Single-Family. A building designed for, or used to house, not <br /> more than one (1) family, including all necessary employees of such family. <br /> Dwelling, Studio Apartment. A dwelling unit consisting of not more than <br /> one (1) habitable room together with kitchen or kitchenette and sanitary facilities. <br /> Dwelling, 2-Family or Duplex. A building containing not more than two (2) <br /> kitchens, designed or used to house not more than two (2) families living <br /> independently of each other, including all necessary employees of each such <br /> family. <br /> Supportive Housing. Housing linked to on-or-off-site services with no limit <br /> on stay that support target populations as defined in Health and Safety Code <br /> Section 53260. This definition shall be construed in light of the definition in Health <br /> and Safety Code Section 50675.14((b)(2). <br /> Transitional Housing. Any facility configured as rental housing <br /> developments, but operated under program requirements that call for the <br /> termination of assistance and recirculation of the assisted units to another eligible <br /> program recipient at some future point in time, which shall be no less than six <br /> months.
