A building or portion thereof designed or used exclusively for <br /> residential occupancy, including one (1)-family, two (2)-family, and multi-family <br /> dwellings, but not including hotels, motels, boarding houses, tents or trailers. <br /> Transitional housina. suaportive housina. and small residential care facilities are <br /> considered a residential use of qroqertv in anv dwellina tvae. <br /> Dwelling, Multiple. A building or portion thereof, used and designed as a <br /> residence for three (3) or more families living independently of each other and <br /> doing their own cooking in said building, including apartment houses, apartment <br /> hotels, and flats, but not including motels, boarding houses, and hotels. <br /> Dwelling, Single-Family. A building designed for, or used to house, not <br /> more than one (1) family, including all necessary employees of such family. <br /> Dwelling, Studio Apartment. A dwelling unit consisting of not more than <br /> one (1) habitable room together with kitchen or kitchenette and sanitary facilities. <br /> Dwelling, 2-Family or Duplex. A building containing not more than finro (2) <br /> kitchens, designed or used to house not more than finro (2) families living <br /> independently of each other, including all necessary employees of each such <br /> family. <br /> Suaaortive Housina. Housina linked to on-or-off-site services with no limit <br /> on stav that suqport taraet poaulations as defined in Health and Safetv Code <br /> Section 53260. This definition shall be construed in liaht of the definition in Health <br /> and Safetv Code Section 50675.14((b)(2). <br /> Transitional Housina. Anv facilitv confiaured as rental housina <br /> develoqments. but oaerated under qroaram reauirements that call for the <br /> termination of assistance and recirculation of the assisted units to another eliaible <br /> proaram reciaient at some future aoint in time. which shall be no less than six <br /> months.
