One Council Member opined that this was frustrating to the Council and knows how <br /> hard it was to get answers from the State. Nonetheless, he believed that the Planning <br /> Commission has a responsibility to review this project for the safety of the community. <br /> He supported the motion and acknowledged how hard the City Manager and City <br /> Attorney had worked. He further stated that he would like this to be a priority. <br /> Motion carried 7/0 unanimously by electronic vote. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Hold public hearing and adopt a Resolution setting aside the Planning Commission's <br /> action of October 30, 2012 (Resolution No. 12-23) and remanding the application to the <br /> Planning Commission for action on the revised Pete's Harbor Project, and therefore <br /> denying the appeal of the Planning Commission's decision as moot. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15262 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> SETTING ASIDE THE PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION OF OCTOBER 30, 2012 FOR THE <br /> PETE'S HARBOR PROJECT; REMANDING THE APPLICATION TO THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION FOR ACTION ON THE REVISED PETE'S HARBOR PROJECT; AND DENYING <br /> THE APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION AS MOOT <br /> 8. City Council Committee Reports <br /> Vice Mayor Gee attended the Civic Cultural Commission 22"d Annual Art Contest. He <br /> mentioned that the Commission received over 1,100 art entries and various students <br /> were recognized. He congratulated all involved in this process. <br /> Council Member Pierce will attend the youth event this Friday on the square and are <br /> inviting all to attend the May 18th Redwood City Together event, "One Community Many <br /> Cultures." <br /> Mayor Aguirre declared this week as City Municipal Clerk's Week and thanked the City <br /> Clerk's Department staff. She also thanked IT for stepping in and helping with the <br /> sound issues tonight. <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update — Dr. Bell thanked IT for its support tonight. <br /> 10. ADJOURNMENT-The meeting adjourned by general consensus at 9:00 p.m. <br /> in memory of former Mayor Bob Bury, who was very active in many community <br /> organizations.
