Swearing in Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission <br /> Appointee Rick Hunter - Silvia Vonderlinden, City Clerk <br /> Mayor Aguirre announced Mr. Rick Hunter as the new appointee to the Parks, <br /> Recreation and Community Services Commission, and Ms. Vonderlinden swore him in <br /> to this position. <br /> 6. PUBLIC COMMENT AND CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Aguirre went over the procedures of the meeting and invited the audience to turn <br /> in their speaker cards. <br /> Karen Routt, resident of Redwood City, thanked Council for supporting her as Woman of <br /> the Year for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. She spoke that this organization's goals <br /> are to find cures for Leukemia, Lymphoma, Melanoma, and Hodgekins and support <br /> families. Ms. Routt also wanted to raise awareness of a fundraising event that was <br /> happening from May 6th through May 10 at the Lady Parts Automotive Services, which is <br /> a woman owned business. Then, she briefly mentioned other upcoming fundraising <br /> events. <br /> M/S Gee/Ira to approve the Consent Calendar as submitted.
