Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) for the San Mateo Operational Area Emergency Services <br /> Organization Revision (304) <br /> REPORT: Fire Chief Montez, January 12, 1998 <br /> In response to Council Member Leipzig's questions regarding what the City of Redwood <br /> City would get for its annual contribution of $44,000, City Manager Everett described the <br /> City and County's role in staffing, planning, training, equipment, and the policy and <br /> - decision making events involving emergency services throughout the San Mateo County <br /> as well as Redwood City. He advised that these services used to be handled separately by <br /> each jurisdiction in the County, but by consolidating services through the JPA and placing <br /> them all within the County Sheriff's Department, each member is benefiting from the <br /> obvious budgetary efficiencies. <br /> Council Member Leipzig asked the City Manager for more information on this matter. <br /> MEMO 2/10/98 <br /> MIS: HARTNETT/CLAIRE.
