StarVista will work in collaboration with the AOD Abuse Prevention Partnership to build program capacity in youth serving and mentoring, and to increase the number of youth involved in positive activities and supportive youth/adult relationships. Specific tasks will include completion of the following: � StarVista will organize and coordinate workshops on Suicide and Depression assessment and coping skills, in order to prevent and minimize first time or repeated rates of suicide, reports of depression at the school and AOD abuse; • StarVista will train 8 STRC staff members, 50 community members and 200 Sequoia High School students; • StarVista staff will develop, plan and conduct AOD activities on three days on the campus of Sequoia High School to include different awareness and prevention activities around AOD and Depression and Suicide. Each day will have a different activity on campus. We estimate that we touch approximately 1,200 students on campus during this week; • StarVista Program Manager will oversee the Sequoia Youth Advisory Board to educate and inform the Sequoia student body via school student groups, about the Needs Assessment Survey findings, highlighting the needs to be worked on by Sequoia students; • StarVista staff and Youth Advisory Board members will update the Needs Assessment Survey, review it and set up logistical details for the next implementation of the Needs Assessment Survey; • StarVista staff and Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will coordinate efforts to administer a Needs Assessment survey to more than 800 students at Sequoia High School and present the results to the Prevention Partnership and School Administration by the end of the 2013-2014 school year; • StarVista staff will outreach to 300 students at Sequoia High School to promote resources at the Sequoia Teen Resource Center and the Wellness Center at Sequoia, and invite youth to be new members of one of the three groups in the after school program; • StarVista staff will facilitate 2 days of on-campus activities to target the prevention of tobacco use. 2. Standard of Performance. While performing the Services, Consultant will exercise the reasonable professional care and skill customarily exercised by reputable members of Consultant's profession practicing in the urban Northern California Area, and will use reasonable diligence and best judgment while exercising its professional skill and expertise.
