Councilwoman La Berge said they recently showed Mr. White's first video of clean-up projects in Redwood City and the emphasis on using volunteers, to a group of government officials in Bosnia. Introduction; REPORT: Public Work Services Director Ingram, February 3,1997 Director Ingram introduced the Fire Station and Maintenance Facility Project Team Members: City Council Facilities Committee Members Claire, La Berge and Chairperson Buchan; Redwood Shores Neighborhood Liaison Team Pete and Ginny Hughes, Tom Mitchell and Robin Carlier; "Team Brushfire" members Fire Battalion Chief Cavallero, Fire Captains Balton, Ferro and Raymaker, Parks and Recreation - Manager Gibbons, Engineer Chang, Building Inspector Dunlap, Project Architect Kent Brown of DES, Project Manager Jerett Knox of Rudolph & Sletten, Project Superintendent Robin Spohr of Rudolph & Sletten and Project Coordinator Peter Ingram; Project Team/Staff Advisory Support, Community Development Director Nelson, Senior Planner Jany, Parks and Recreation Supervisor Payne, Building Maintenance Worker Valencia and Assistant City Attorney Sorba; Fire Department representatives Chief Montenero and A. Director Ingram described the project's "Milestones" beginning March 25, 1996 with the Public Safety Committee recommendation for a fIfe station and maintenance facility in the Redwood Shores Neighborhood through the proposed January 5, 1998 fire station grand opening celebration. Director Ingram explained the bifurcation of the project, the shared construction and lease discussions with SBSA for the maintenance building, and the emphasis the City has put on constructing the highest quality projects on both sites, subject to all the requirements and high standards demanded of private developers. He described the --- involvement of the Redwood Shores Owners Association in the design process and advised that a design agreement had been reached by all parties.
