We invite you to submit a bid by 3pm, Friday, February 7, 2014, to the Engineering & <br /> Transportation Division, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California 94063,attention Peter Delgado. <br /> The work of this project consists generally of the following items: <br /> • Removal and disposal of existing elevator cabs at Marshall Street Garage. <br /> • Furnishing and installing new steel faced cab panels, handrails, cab ceiling and lights, electrical <br /> connections and other work necessary to provide a complete functioning system. <br /> • Sysfem functional testing. <br /> Contractor shall perform all the work specified on the project plans and specifications, including furnishing all <br /> labor, miscellaneous materials, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to complete the work in a <br /> satisfactory manner. <br /> All work perFormed shall conform to the attached contract documents and California Code of Regulations, <br /> Title 8, Elevator Safety Orders,and Cal/OSHA.. <br /> Work shall be completed within 60 Calendar Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. <br /> Bidders shall refer to Section 00200(Instructions to Bidders)for required bid items to be submitted. <br /> A California Class C-11 contractor's license is required to bid this Contract. <br /> The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Cost for this project is between$80,000 to$90,000. <br /> . Contactor will be required to enter into an Agreement(Section 0052Q)for this work. Contractor shall satisfy <br /> insurance requirements specified in the Agreement. A Faithful Performance Bond (Section 00610) and a <br /> Payment Bond(Section 00620)will be required for this project. <br /> Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay their employees performing labor under this Contract salaries or <br /> wages at least equal to the general prevailing wage rates in effect at the time of advertising for bids, as <br /> determined by_ the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California, for the <br /> particular crafts, classifications or types of workers employed on the project. <br /> City will conduct a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at the following time and place. <br /> Time: 10:OOam to 11:OOam <br /> Date: January 30, 2014 <br /> Place: Marshall Street Garage, Elevator near Marshall Street,15t floor <br /> 750 Marshall Street,Redwood City, California <br />
