Vice Mayor Foust recommends reviewing these Measure A allocations for the <br /> various Redwood City projects and added that it was meaningful information with a lot of <br /> important data. <br /> Council Member Aguirre reported on being in Seattle with a peer exchange group from <br /> relating to Housing and Transportation as part of the seat she holds on the Metropolitan <br /> and Transportation Commission. <br /> Council Member Pierce spoke about the last CMEQ meeting and there was a short <br /> presentation on the high occupancy vehicle and special lanes to maximize the use of <br /> existing freeway lanes. <br /> Mayor Gee announced that CalTrain published its Draft Environmental Impact Report <br /> for the electrification of the CalTrain Corridor. He said it is available online and there <br /> are upcoming meetings in the community. He said this is a big milestone in the process. <br /> He was also invited to BUILD at Sequoia High School, and he was a judge for <br /> Showcase #2., He was impressed with the team and the presentations he got to judge. <br /> Mayor Gee announced that the Latino Leadership Council of San Mateo County is <br /> having a conference at Canada College on March 14, 2014. <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update - <br /> Dr. Bell said that it is important to remind young people to focus on careers in <br /> government. He also reported on SIMS metal and he sent a subsequent letter. He said <br /> they have been very cooperative and he wanted to update Council on this matter. <br /> D. City Attorney Report from Closed Session — no reportable action. <br /> 11.
