Other cities within the Bay area have noted that moving the residential <br /> sweeping times later in the day has resulted in better curb access since more people are at <br /> work later in the day. Sweeping practices are more effective since the sweeper is more <br /> likely to reaching the curb. Implementation will begin by July 1,2017 if a decision is made <br /> to delay the street sweeping start time within residential areas. <br /> ■ON-LAND CLEANUPS <br /> Implemented Prior to and Continued After MRP Effective Date: <br /> • The City's Parks and Recreation Department perform on-land cleanups and services trash <br /> containers daily(7 days/week) as part of their maintenance and landscaping activities <br /> within the following sixteen (16) parks within TMA#6. Eight parks are located in Redwood <br /> Shores.A total of five full-time employees and two seasonal employees solely dedicated to <br /> maintaining city parks and through fares within Redwood Shores. <br /> o Dolphin Park <br /> o Dove Beeger Park <br /> o Garrett Park <br /> o Maddux Park <br /> o Marlin Park <br /> o Mariner Park <br /> o Red Morton Community Park <br /> o Sandpiper Park <br /> o Shannon Park <br /> o Shorebird Park <br /> o Shore Dogs Park <br /> o Stafford Park <br /> o Stulsaft Park <br /> o Wellesley Crescent Park <br /> o Westwood Park <br /> o 3.5 acre park on Shearwater Parkway <br /> • The City's Parks and Recreation Department conducts on-land cleanups as part of their <br /> weekly maintenance and landscaping activities of the following thorough fares in <br /> Redwood Shores: <br /> o Redwood Shores Parkway(median and most of the shoulders/sides) <br /> o Radio Road <br /> o Marine Parkway median <br /> o Shearwater Parkway median <br /> o Shell Parkway median <br /> o Bridge Parkway-median and shoulders/sides between Redwood Shore Parkway and <br /> Redwood Shores library.The grounds around the library are also cleaned. <br /> • The City, in conjunction with the Redwood Shores Community Association,sponsors the <br /> annual Redwood Shores Levee Cleanup event. .Volunteers remove litter and illegally <br /> dumped trash from the waterfront and levee. <br /> 49 <br />
