ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (203) <br /> A. Pastor Dennis Logie gave a brief history of the long standing cooperative spirit that exists <br /> among the churches and places of worship in Redwood City, highlighting the National <br /> Day of Prayer and Bethlehem A.D. Pastor Logie invited everyone to attend Good Friday <br /> services, an ecumenical and Christian celebration coordinated by seven Redwood City <br /> churches, and hosted by Messiah Lutheran Church ITom noon to 3 p.m., March 28,1997. <br /> B. Ginny Hughes, 18 Admiralty Court, advised Council that the neighbors of her property on <br /> Hoover have complained for a long time about code enforcement violations in their <br /> neighborhood, including a boarded up fire damaged house and generators in ITont yards. <br /> Mrs. Hughes said she had left a voice mail message for code enforcement people to call <br /> her back, but they had not done so. Mrs. Hughes asked Council for help in enforcing the <br /> codes in residential neighborhoods. <br /> In response to Councilman Leipzig's questions, City Manager Everett advised that it is <br /> City policy to return all calls within 24 hours. Councilman Leipzig said the City needed to <br /> focus code enforcement on neighborhoods, and asked "where is the breakdown in the <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 55 <br /> Page No. 212 <br />
