Vice Mayor Howard, Candidate for the November 4 Council Election, said she would not be able to attend next Monday as she had long standing plans to be away that evening, and was extremely disappointed to have to postpone this joint session. She said she had been looking forward to this opportunity to meet with the Planning Commission and others for a long time, and would submit her written comments and questions to be considered next Monday. Vice Mayor Howard asked that the meeting be split into two sessions so that Council Members would have the chance to attend at least one of the sessions. MEMO 9/9/97 Mayor Hartnett, Candidate for the November 4 Council Election, asked staff to check with the Planning Commissioners, Architectural and HHCC representatives to make sure next Monday night was a good night for them as well as the Council. Mayor Hartnett suggested having the El Camino Plan and process issues at one session, and reserve the Housing Element for a subsequent meeting.
