Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update <br /> Program PS-18 Air Quality Education I/O The City periodically disseminates information to public from BAAQMD,511.org,and the Spare <br /> the Air program(see Program PS-11),and promotes employee use of commute alternatives.Staff <br /> is attending BAAQMD public outreach meetings for implementation of SB 1339(Bay Area <br /> Commuter Benefit Program)in Redwood City. Implementation is anticipated to begin in 2014. <br /> Program PS-19 Green Building Education I/O The City is promoting and educating the public on its Green Building Ordinance. <br /> Program PS-20 Regional Air Quality I/O The City continues to coordinate with BAAQMD. <br /> Consultation <br /> Program PS-21 Climate Change Consultation I/O The City maintains active communication with the California Coastal Commission through San <br /> Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program(SMCWPPP)(see NR-30);Bay <br /> Conservation and Development Commission and USGS through SMC Board of Supervisors <br /> representative(Supervisor Dave Pine);and State of California OPR through County of San Mateo <br /> RICAPS and JVSV coordination. <br /> Program PS-22 Local Agency Consultation I/O The City maintains active communication with local agencies with regard to addressing climate <br /> change,including participation in Joint Venture Silicon Valley Public Sector Climate Task Force, <br /> C/CAG(BPAC,TAC,CMEQ,and RMCP Committee, BayREN,and RICAPS. <br /> Program PS-23 Seismic Safety Addressed in I/O As part of the development review process,staff continues to review new development to ensure <br /> CEQA seismic safety is addressed per CEQA Guidelines <br /> Program PS-24 Geotechnical Analysis I/O The City continues to require geotechnical analysis for new development where applicable. <br /> Program PS-25 International Building Code I/A 12/09/13 A new Building Code will be adopted for implementation in January 2014. <br /> Program PS-26 Geological Hazard Mapping I/O City geological hazard data and maps are updated continuously.
