7.1.E. - Page 11 <br /> 100% Design <br /> Redwood City will perform a detailed design review of the 90% submittal. Consultant will <br /> meet with Redwood City staff to review comments on the 90% review. <br /> Consultant shall make all necessary revisions and modifications to the 90% Design as <br /> agreed upon between Redwood City and Consultant. These revisions and modifications <br /> will be incorporated into the 100% Finalized Plans, Calculations and Specifications. All <br /> comments shall be either incorporated, or responded to if not incorporated. Consultant <br /> shall finalize all construction documents for bidding (i.e., plans and specifications) and <br /> shall finalize the Engineer's Cost Estimate. <br /> Expanded Original Task 4 - Peninsula 2 Tank Modifications <br /> Consultant has prepared an investigation of the Peninsula 1 and 2 tanks (Ref. G&E <br /> report 70.04.05, Rev. 0, dated September 18, 2013). <br /> That report recommends the following seismic upgrades (moderate / high to high <br /> priority): <br /> • Task 4a - Peninsula 2: Modify inlet / outlet pipe, drain pipe, overflow pipe. (High <br /> or moderate/high priority) <br /> • Task 4b - Peninsula 2: Add external pile system (moderate priority, optional). <br /> The work scope below address both conditions. <br /> 50% Design Submittal <br /> We will prepare drawings and specifications for the designs to be implemented for <br /> Peninsula 2 as described in the above report. It is understood that after the 50% <br /> submittal, the City may decide to go forward (or not) with the pile upgrades. <br /> Final drawings shall be printed in D size (24x36 inch) format, set up to produce half size <br /> prints at B size (11x17 inch) format. <br /> We will perform tank analyses (nonlinear dynamic models of existing tank with added <br /> piles) with the assumed upgraded piles, to demonstrate that under the 2,475 <br /> earthquake that the combine system (existing and new piles) that the existing piles had <br /> demand ductility under 3.
