7.1.E. - Page 39 <br /> Consultant shall submit a 25% submittal which will include conceptual design sketches <br /> for the seismic upgrades. RWC will provide comments within 1 week of submittal. <br /> Consultant shall develop a 50% review set of drawings for the seismic upgrades and an <br /> outline of the construction specifications for submittal to Redwood City. The purpose of <br /> this submittal is to obtain Redwood City comments on the proposed designs, to assure <br /> compliance with project goals, and to determine conformance with Redwood City <br /> standards. <br /> Redwood City will provide Consultant with hard copy and electronic versions of <br /> standard specifications for similar designs developed by Redwood City. Consultant will <br /> provide all technical specifications. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • 25% conceptual design sketches. <br /> • Drawing list that identifies all proposed Drawings and Specifications to be <br /> delivered. <br /> • Drawings (11 x17) showing details of restrains, anchors, and roof system <br /> improvements (50% complete). <br /> • Overall scope of construction work — description and updated cost <br /> estimate. <br /> • Proposed specifications and standards. Redwood City shall supply "boiler <br /> plate" sections of the specifications as commonly used for similar work by <br /> Redwood City, from which Consultant shall modify as needed for this <br /> project. <br /> 90% Design Submittal and Review <br /> Consultant shall develop complete (90%) design plans and specifications for the project <br /> for Redwood City final review. Detailed design shall conform to all applicable water <br /> industry codes and Redwood City design standards; and shall be stand-atone bid <br /> documents. As delivered, the 90% documents shall be ready for advertisement and <br /> competition, to the extent practical, subject to any changes the Redwood City may <br /> identify or limited open issues. <br /> Consultant shall prepare an updated draft Engineer's Cost Estimate for construction <br /> activities. <br /> Consultant shall perform an internal QA audit of the designs to assure that the designs <br /> meet the intended project goals in a cost effective manner. <br /> Consultant shall assist Redwood City in responding to the 90% Design Review <br /> Submittal comments from Redwood City Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering <br /> staff. <br /> The following design assumptions shall apply: <br /> ATTY//MGR/2012.001/G&E ENGINEERING Page 22 of 30 <br /> i=v,rii r1M'7 <br />
